I was kindly asked to read this book for an honest review and because of that I feel obliged to inform the author after reading at least one quarter of the book if it's not my thing and my rating would probably end up not being favorable.

Unfortunately for Dead Beginnings this is the case. The premise of this story is quite intriguing, but as you can take from my updates the narration and writing style are absolutely not my taste. Also, this book has been shelved as "dark" several times but it was not dark for me. Thus DNF at 29%.
